Denise Kayser

Denise Kayser has made the Gaithersburg community her home for over four decades.  She held a number of positions with the City of Gaithersburg including Arts Administrator and Chief of the Cultural Events and Services Division.  Denise was instrumental in the formation of the Gaithersburg Arts and Monuments Funding Corporation and its subsequent expansion into G-PARC, and co-led the development of the Parks, Recreation and Culture Element of the City’s Master Plan.  After retiring from the City in 2019 she joined the G-PARC Board of Directors and serves as a Vice-Chair of the Board and Chair of the Alliance for Art and Culture.  Denise studied Fine Arts at Rice University and has had her artwork exhibited in numerous venues.  In addition to her artistic pursuits, Denise enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, gardening, ancestry research, and reading.
